Happy New Year

With the boys lighting and sending fireworks off into the sky in the front yard and some of us huddled under blankets watching all the brilliant bursts of color, you can't but reflect on the past year, and the new year already standing there. Midnight strikes, and you hear every neighbor or citizen in San Antonio yell out their new year greeting. Its here, 2013. Another year to step forward into Jesus and whatever it is that he has for us. Another year to serve, another year to see miracles and the Lord show himself as the all knowing, all wise, all loving Savior.

Last year was full. It was filled to overflowing at times, but the Lord was so faithful to us. Every need our family had, the Lord miraculously met and every day our faith was strengthened and built up. We have learned that the reward of serving is more service, and all the joy and stretching that comes with it. We have learned what it is to lose someone close to our hearts and how to rejoice in heaven. The times of play and rest have been sweet and abundant. Our school time found new readers reading everything in sight and one walking the isle wearing cap and gown, finishing 12th grade. Our road trips have been many as the Lord opened many opportunities to sing and share our testimony. Our small community has blessed us more than can be expressed with their support of our "Vacation Bible School" and our "Raise the Steeple" concert not to mention our Christmas presentation. Fellowship with friends  whether here or out of state have been sweet, and facetime with family has been the fun alternative to many hours of actually driving.

We thank the Lord for all He has done, all that He has taught us and everything he has done to show His great love for us.

Here are some snapshots of last year...
